'Fibratus' · Bark pendant

£75.00

Hand-painted bark pendant · gold acrylic on deep black · one of a kind · light radiating from a single point

This pendant began as a piece of fallen bark — collected from ancient woodland, cleaned, and prepared entirely by hand. The centre panel is painted in gold botanical motifs on deep black, framed by a gold dot border and a fine white line running through the composition. The natural grain of the bark forms the border; no two pieces share the same edge.

Fibratus is the cloud formation where parallel bands radiate outward from a single point on the horizon — the sky opening from one source of light. Each piece in the Bark & Grain jewellery series is named for a cloud. One name. One pendant.

What makes this piece yours

  • One of a kind: The natural grain and edge of the bark make this piece unrepeatable.

  • Found form: The parallel bands of gold follow the bark's own grain — the painting echoes what was already radiating through the wood.

  • Contrast: Raw, textured bark against hand-painted gold creates something that feels both ancient and luminous.

Packaging
Each piece arrives in a hand-painted jewellery box with a hand-drawn ACEO illustration from the artist, a note on the bark's origin and the story of the piece, hand-signed and with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Each work in the Bark & Grain series carries one name. The bark is real — not cast, not replicated, not recreated. A two-hundred-year-old pine shaped it. Collected, restored, and painted — one brushstroke at a time — until its story surfaced. None of it can be repeated. One piece. Forever.
