'Moonveil' · Bark pendant necklace

£35.00

Hand-painted bark pendant · black & white botanical motifs · one of a kind · moonlight on dark water

This piece began as a fragment of fallen bark — collected from ancient woodland, prepared entirely by hand. The shape arrived as it is; nothing was cut or altered. Across its dark surface, two mirrored forms are traced in white — fine botanical lines and dotted borders that appear to float rather than sit. The bark is almost black beneath them. The contrast is quiet but absolute.

Moonveil takes its name from that quality of light — the way the moon illuminates without warming. White on dark. Present, but barely.

This is a piece you notice up close.

What makes this piece yours

  • One of a kind: The natural grain and edge of the bark make this piece unrepeatable.

  • Found form: The dark surface arrived this way — the painting follows what the bark already was.

  • Contrast: White botanical detail on near-black bark — something ancient, precise, and still.

Packaging
Each piece arrives in a hand-painted jewellery box with a hand-drawn ACEO illustration from the artist, a note on the bark's origin and the story of the piece, hand-signed and with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Each work in the Bark & Grain series carries one name. The bark is real — not cast, not replicated, not recreated. A two-hundred-year-old pine shaped it. Collected, restored, and painted — one brushstroke at a time — until its story surfaced. None of it can be repeated. One piece. Forever.
